The invoice cost of a Nightfall box is $42. The store selling it DOES take a cut, ya know. Nevermind the continuous expenses of running the servers, performing maintenance and keeping the game updated.

Regardless, I'm not under the impression they're selling poorly when they can afford to hold tournaments that give out thousands of dollars in cash prizes. ArenaNet's financial filings aren't public because they're part of NCSoft, they haven't made any public releases saying they're strapped for cash, they HAVE made several implying that they're doing well, which means any statements that they're going under are most likely rumor.
